THEIR MISSION
Forget Me Not is a student-led initiative and penpal companionship program that strives to establish youth and elderly connections to combat the growing prevalence of dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases, dedicated to preventing cognitive decline on a global scale. Comprised of passionate high school students, the group aims to raise awareness through informative Instagram posts and guest speaker engagements. They actively support the elderly in nursing homes and are committed to continuing their impactful initiatives.
PEN PAL PROGRAM
Forget Me Not’s Pen Pal Companionship Program aims to brighten the lives of our local elderly, spread Alzheimer’s awareness, and involve members of the community across all ages. Bimonthly, our organization collects and distributes personally-made letters to seniors in nursing homes, encouraging today’s youth to foster lasting connections with the elderly—an integral part of our population.

Today, someone in the world develops dementia every 3 seconds. Community members may see their parents and their grandparents afflicted by this incurable condition, but have no idea what they can do. Change starts within the community. Being involved with Forget Me Not’s elderly care programs and events mean making a difference in the lives of our elderly, restoring their cognitive abilities, and fostering lifelong connections.
